Ochrana osobních údajů

Dear customers, dear visitors of our website www.w-technology.cz, operated by W-Technology s.r.o., Polní 1941/8, CZ-79201 Bruntál, Czech Republic,

we highly value your trust and we appreciate your interest in our services and products.

One of our main priorities is the protection of your data, your personal rights, and ensuring your right to be informed about the collection, processing, and use of your personal data. Our handling of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

Collection and use of personal data

The Seller, as the controller of personal data, processes the following data in connection with fulfilling contractual obligations pursuant to Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data: name, surname, address, e-mail (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”). The Seller, as the controller of personal data, declares that all personal data is confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party. The only exceptions are payment gateway providers, to whom the buyer’s personal data is transferred when necessary for processing a payment, and data processors, which are:

  • Web hosting provider ZONER software, a.s. (www.czechia.com)
  • Other software, service, and application providers, which are not currently used by the Seller.

The Seller, as the controller of personal data, also processes personal data based on active consent: name, e-mail. The visitor provides active consent through a subscription form for commercial communication. Consent must be confirmed using the so-called double opt-in method. Personal data collected based on consent is processed for a period of 3 years.

Personal data will be processed for the purpose of fulfilling the contract, as well as for contract record-keeping and for potential future enforcement and defense of the rights and obligations of the contracting parties. Data will be stored and processed for 10 years after the last contractual performance, unless a different legal regulation requires longer retention. This processing is permitted under Section 5 (2) (b) of the Personal Data Protection Act – processing necessary for the performance of a contract – and Section 5 (2) (e) – processing necessary for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the controller, recipient, or other concerned party.

The Seller may also send you newsletters and other commercial communications to your e-mail address. This is permitted under Section 7 (3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on Certain Information Society Services, unless you refuse it. Such communications can be unsubscribed from at any time – for example, by sending an e-mail to customer service at info@w-technology.cz or by clicking the unsubscribe link in the commercial message.

Please note that under the Personal Data Protection Act you have the right to:

  • request information from the Seller about what personal data is being processed,
  • request access to your personal data and have it updated or corrected,
  • request deletion of your personal data – such deletion will be carried out unless it conflicts with the legitimate interests of the Seller,
  • in case of doubts about compliance with obligations related to the processing of personal data, contact the Seller at info@w-technology.cz or the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Secure communication during processing

For data transmission we use the SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer) with 128-bit encryption. This technology provides the highest level of security and is commonly used by banks to protect personal data in online banking. You can recognize that your data is being transmitted in encrypted form by the locked padlock symbol displayed next to the address in your browser bar.

To ensure sufficient security when submitting forms, we sometimes use the Google Inc. reCAPTCHA service. This service is primarily used to distinguish whether an entry was made by a human or by an automated machine. Different privacy rules of Google Inc. apply here.
